National Geographic invites you to join a movement of like-minded educators empowering students to think like explorers and make a difference in the world. In this highly interactive session, participants will learn about the Geo-Inquiry Process and the tools created to support outstanding real-world, problem-based projects in the middle school classroom.

The Geo-Inquiry Process assists students in developing the skills, knowledge and tools of a geographer. It provides a systematic way to investigate and understand the world through the patterns, processes, and interactions between human and natural systems and then to act on their conclusions.
The Geo-Inquiry Process is designed to build on student questions that reflect issues in their local community. The process is project-based, authentic, and experiential in nature, which requires students to spend time asking, investigating, organizing, analyzing, and creating.

Implement the geo-inquiry process in order to further a student’s understanding of our planet and empower them to generate solutions for the future
Develop relevant geo-inquiry based questions on hot topics in their communities
Explore the digital copy of National Geographic’s Geo-Inquiry Process handbook and other online resources. Come and explore how you and your students can partner with National Geographic to investigate and change the world.
