In this highly interactive session, participants will learn about the Geo-Inquiry Process and the tools created to support outstanding real-world, problem-based projects in the middle school classroom.
The Geo-Inquiry Process assists students in developing the skills, knowledge and tools of a geographer. It provides a systematic way to investigate and understand the world through the patterns, processes, and interactions between human and natural systems and then to act on their conclusions. The Geo-Inquiry Process is designed to build on student questions that reflect issues in their local community. The process is project-based, authentic, and experiential in nature, which requires students to spend time asking, investigating, organizing, analyzing, and creating.
