Claudia Troxel
Claudia Troxel has been teaching High School Science for the past 5 years, and currently teaches Biology, Chemistry I, and Dual Credit Chemistry II. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Troxel had a professional career as a Toxicologist for 18 years. She received her degrees in Biochemistry and German from the College of Charleston in South Carolina, and her Ph.D. in Toxicology from Oregon State University. After a move to Oak Ridge, TN where she worked for Oak Ridge National Laboratory for 3 years, she ended up in Lander, WY. For the next 15 years, Mrs. Troxel prepared health assessment guidelines for the U.S. EPA, FDA, and IBM. Wanting a new challenge, she then returned to school to receive her Masters in Education in order to transition to teaching. In her role as a science teacher, Mrs. Troxel is the sponsor of the Science Club. In her spare time, Mrs. Troxel loves hiking, reading, and puns.
