Jessica Whitehead
Jessica is a 3rd grade teacher at Freedom Elementary in Laramie County School District 1. She began her teaching career as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Phoenix, Arizona and obtained a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education. After moving to Cheyenne, Jessica took on many roles in the district, including: classroom teacher for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, ESL teacher, ESL Instructional Coach, and Academic Instructional Coach. Her role as an Instructional Coach provided her with opportunities to work with Technology Integration Specialists and find a passion for using technology to engage students in the classroom. In her current role as a 3rd grade teacher, Jessica collaborates with other teachers and staff members on ways to create a technology-rich classroom while still meeting subject-matter standards.
